I dont know if he does it, but you can create a sound like that with this method.

Good Amp, not too much gain, 1-2 Mics.. i prefer SM57 and/or Sennheiser E609, some EQ, some Noise Gate and most important: Clean playing.

Thanks for your kudos and for the advice.. as i told you it is not mixed yet.. only eq while recording. After having recorded all instruments + vocals im gonna mix it real good. I tell ya, it'll kick ass. Here's another one i did, but we did this, when we were not too good at recording and...
