6 Bass mics? Haha, you can't see the stereo rooms :) It's not like they're all perfectly in phase. You'll do some alignment afterwards and still have some phasing - but actually that's part of his sound when you listen to his guitars!

RME has very solid converters for a reasonable price.

There is so much humanizing going on that I think it would have been easier to record real drums ;) Glad you like it! Kurts ramps are fantastic.

From my experience: With metal recordings having the mic so close to the speaker, it will barely catch enough room. Not like none at all... but I heard great sounds recorded in REALLY shitty rooms.
