Best Albums of 2009 (so far)

Just picked up Crack the Skye... wouldn't say I'm about to become a mega Mastodon fan, but the album sounds great.

song similarity pink floyd and metallica

The video is fail. But anyway, when you listen to a certain band for long enough, their influence will undoubtedly start to seep into your songwriting.

    Great Early TOOL Video

Wow, DT just blew me away.

Portnoy walked past me once, and I was shocked at how short he is. Anyway, I think they have some good tunes, but they're not the be all end all of prog bands...

Best Albums of 2009 (so far)

Other than Wavering Radiant, 2009 has been and looks to be a rather underwhelming year for music. New Maiden, Dillinger, Meshuggah, hopefully new...

What Music Have You Bought Recently?

The new Alice in Chains song (killer BTW), a couple Nirvana tracks off of Nevermind, a couple Faith No More tracks off of the Real Thing, a Michael Jackson song, and some System of a Down. As for full albums: - "Wavering Radiant" by ISIS (4/5) - "Octahedron" by The Mars Volta (3.5/5) -...

    Cheesy Album covers

I won't post it, but the Scorpions' album "Virgin Killer" has to have the most atrocious album cover in music history.
