I double checked the settings of SIR: The EQ and everything else that could cause something strange is switched off. I also tried KeFir and mixIr that yielded very similar results than SIR. Of course the Presence and the Resonance have no effect on the Preamp out. But if I turn the post gain...

I really like the KSE settings! Used them with the balance of the TS set to full and with less gain and bass at the amp. I set the mic (SM 57) off-axis at the crossing between the cone and the dust cap. Sounds really really nice. Perhaps I will upload the final result soon...

Thanks. That hum comes from a shitty power supply of my notebook that does some strange things with the my reamp box (radial x-amp). For the final reamping session I have to fix that.

Thanks a lot! Actually, I have done this video for finding the best mic position for the G12K100. IMO these speakers are easier to mic than V30 because of their wider frequency response.

I've done a short video where you can hear and see the influence of the microphone position when micing an amp. I used an SM57 with three different angles: on-axis, half-off-axis and off-axis. Then I moved the mic before the speaker, so that you can hear how the mic placement influences...
