Just wondering what custom makers are making 8 guitar pups. I listened to a lot of demos of SDs/BKPs/Lace and am not really hearing anything I like, so was thinking of giving a custom maker a try. I'm not playing any djent stuff, but would like a higher gain pup, if that helps.

Can someone recommend a low watt, +/-20, power amp? I was planning on getting a preamp made and was just going to use it to record direct, but now that I've just come into possession of a 1X!2" cab, I'm think I may as well get a separate power amp as well. Any suggestions?

I was wondering how the Peavey Windsor combos fare tone-wise to the 100W head version. I'm trying to do a JCM800 tone on a budget and these seem to be the closet approximations at the lowest price points.
