If you want to go to the root of it, search for Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Kansas, :) Otherwise, the only band that I can cathegorize as a similar kind of progresive than SW and CM is Pathosray....really cool band. Check for their album "Pathosray", amazing melodic stuff.
