Any updates about a new Theocracy album in 2023?

I agree. As the world bleeds is my personal favorite. i didn't know i would like the follow up from that but Ghost Ship happens to be a close second for me. Ghost Ship exceeded my expectations.

I figured now that Ghost Ship has been out that it would be a good time for you guys to take a poll on what your favorite Theocracy album is.

i think for me i was so into secular metal and some really dark stuff that God was like, you"re getting rid of everything and for your own good. so melodic bands like the ones you mentioned went out with it.

for you christian theocracy fans out there. i have felt convicted ever since about 2011. i gave up metal all together but later discovered theocracy and found them uplifting. however, i still feel convicted about secular metal bands. do any of you feel convicted about metal? Please share your...

good observation. "one of the few gateway bands at the peak of their niche." someone should expound on that.

so what's your top three? mine are nightfall, imaginations, and somewhere far beyond in that order.

so to keep the thread rolling did some of you not vote for nightfall because of all the interludes and how they interupt the flow of the album or because you think it doesn't have the best songs in general?

thanks for the props. i think night at the opera is great musically. my only beef with it however is that it's exhausting to listen to ten layers of vocals for a whole album. other then that i think it's great.

oh yeah, you went there. i've never liked them but that intro did sound more like something they're not which was why i liked it.

i agree. i can't stand their recent material but i do think they have a lot of hits early on.

well to be honest there's only a couple albums of theirs that i would listen to all the way through, but if you take the best couple songs from each one and make a comp it would be terrific. only thing like that is their live cd. you can mail me those three if you want. i'll consider it...

that's why i'd go with their live cd. it has the best songs from their first 6 albums. it's the closest thing to the best of. and in my mind, power metal after the 90's is like thrash after the 80's.

if you liked anal cunt, check out the band anus disease. they chose that name to pay tribute to anal cunt since he passed. anus disease is just starting to record and so far i have the newest news on them since i'm old time pals with one of the guitar players.
