I use izotope vinyl for that kinda phone sound. It does it very good and it's free too :)

Me and my friend are planning on building a studio. And my question is. How big should the ultimate recording room for guitars be? And the same for vocals?

Today we reamped some tracks at studio 301. where Rammstein, Katatonia and alot of pop is being recorded, even ABBA back in the day. Very nice studio, the 3rd session I record at that place, and I just love it! After some fooling around we decided to go with Mesa boogie roadster and a 5150...

Your post has nothing to do with sound of performence, just about looks. That, to me seem kinda shallow. I hated the mainstream alot in the past, now I gone over to hate the one's hating the mainsteam, cause that's the new mainstream in metal. if that makes any sense :P

I've reasearched the mics on the cab there, the one above is a shure sm7b offcourse, and the one below seems to be a heil pr 40. Anyone tried the pr40 on guitar?

Tell me 'bout it, we had to fire our drummer in middle of recording, and he's been my best friend since 7 years. That was really hard to do. It's just as hard as breaking up weith your girl friend, In there's never a good time to do it. But now finally, we probablly found the right drummer for us!
