What if Steven Wilson produced Katatonia?

Hi, Personally, I'd love for Michael Beinhorn to produce Katatonia. The best album from Soundgarden (Superunknown) was produced by him. Korn's best album (Untouchables) was produced by him. He produced the current Mew album so I think he has got what it takes. Mew is slightly progressive...

Wow! Velvetmusic.nl just delivered my special edition TGCD cd. And I love it! Love the cards and the poster guys. Really great, this made my day. Also it seems like they shipped it quite early since the 13th is official release date huh? Ah well, I'm a happy guy now. Greetz! Tim

    Branch out?

Hey, The current trend for most bands seems to be that they broaden their sound. Real violins instead of keyboards, added piano, influences from emo or even Opeth (Dynamic use of heavy and light parts in music). What should Katatonia do? Incorporate more genres and instruments into their...

Hey Anders, Is there a chance you guys would ever cover Joy Division? I think New Dawn Fades would be a great song for you guys..... Greetz, Tim

What do you wish for the next Katatonia album?

I'd love a cover of "New Dawn Fades", originally from Joy Division. Just listen to the live version they did on the "Still"-compilation. This song has incredible potential and what better band than Katatonia to fullfill that potential? Musically and lyrically it suits the Discouraged Ones era...

Are people becoming more anti-social these days?

I dunno, it just seems people are getting busier, or acting busy, and forgetting about others these days. Christ, these days we have to take out our agenda's to see when we have time for eachother. Money aplenty but it don't mean shit....

Jonas is for Katatonia what David Vincent was/is for Morbid Angel. There's no replacing...

DAYLIGHT DIES news UPDATE + live video

Just dowloaded the video, worthy of getting airplay on tv in my opinion. Great stuff. I actually was at the performance that night and it was fun seeing my face in the video. Real cool. A small question. What's going to be the strenght of your new vocalist? Clean singing or growling? Greetz!

TOOL: question for NON-American Opeth fans

I think Tool are great musicians who can write good songs. Their best album is Aenima, Lateralus hasn't got enough melody and seems to lack the depressed atmosphere of the previous albums. Maynard James Keenan is a wonderful singer, but he has done his best work with A Perfect Circle.

Heretic is a very... interesting... cd

Personally I'd like to see the following combination: David Vincent - Vocals and bass Trey - Guitars Pete - Drums All this produced by Neil Kernon. He has done a wonderfull job with Cannibal Corpse and has the ability to propel MA to the top of the death metal league imo. Surely MA can...

    Heretic

Personally I have mixed feelings about Morbid Angel these days. Musically and productionwise they are better than they ever were, I just miss that edge that David Vincent seemed to give them. His lyrics were on the limit here and there but always coherent and emotional. I dunno, I seem to miss...

    Favorite Morbid Angel

Domination is my favorite album. It got me into Morbid Angel. Well, the video of Where The Slime Live got me to buy Domination in the first place. F*ckin great video with David Vincent at his evil best. A DVD would kick ass, especially if they include all the promotional videos. Cool!
