Within the Fall - Debut album released!

Listening to it now. I really like it so far! I agree, great vocals.

    Best of 2014 round up.

Here's the thing about it for me... It was not bad. It had some tracks I thought were nice and pleasant (I did especially like the track "Goblin" as it did hit that 70's Italian giallo vibe that the BAND Goblin perfected so well), but there was simply not one track on there that resonated...

    Yes. And it's actually good.

Evil Dead was good. Especially considering they are planning to actually tie it in with the original series in some degree. From what I read, they are going to make an Army of Darkness 2 (starring Bruce Campbell), then also making an Evil Dead 2 that is a sequel to this movie. Then presumably...

Watched Hatchet 3. As far as the kills go, it was not as good as 2, but probably better than 1 (of course part 1 still had the coolest kill of them all). Overall, though, it had a REALLY poor cast which was distracting and brought the movie down as a whole.

If you guys want a really fun gory flick, check out "Sweatshop" on netflix instant. The first 20 minutes or so are PAINFULLY bad, but they serve to make you hate the entire cast in classic 80's fashion. What follows is an incredibly satisfying gorefest with a really big killer that uses an...

    The Gaming Thread

The new Tomb Raider is shockingly good. Also playing a weird little game on Steam called Cart Life. It's a little 8-but "life sim" that is 5 dollars and super addictive.

Common misconception. Any studio making one game will not take away from another. There are different teams on different projects. You pretty much have your "Skyrim team", that is...the people that made Oblivion and Skyrim and whatever they will move onto next. You have your Fallout 3...

I don't recall any of that in the Saw movies, really (bet lets face it, they do run together after the first couple). Also, absolutely none in The Collection. And "the old school way" would disagree with you if you go by Lucio Fulci. That guy was ALL ABOUT stuff being poked into eyeballs.

Yeah, I guess if you don't like really gorey horror movies, then no dice for you.

I agree. It was "okay", but still MUCH better than most of the horseshit that gets released every week. But the Collection is badass.

Just watched The Collection (Sequel to 2009's The Collector) Holy bloodbath! So fucking gory. The story is pretty basic, but who the fuck cares. It was magnificent.

Pretty much. The fact is "zombie culture" is really goddamn annoying. It's insanely popular, what with the "zombie walks" and everything. So studios just shit these movies out left and right and they are all miserable. There was one a couple years ago called "The Horde" which was pretty...

    The Horror Movie thread

The Saw movies were fucking enjoyable as shit and I say that with great confidence in my opinion. The reason why is because in the 80s - you know, when horror movies were actually fun as shit and didn't always need to be so fucking serious - it was all about making a yearly franchise that...

I agree. Seemed like they didn't even watch the previous 2 (which I loved).
