What I do is take a scale. Play it. Get a feel for it... try to understand the feelings or images it conveys. Then I usually construct chords and progressions from the scale. [Appologies for my lack of help]

Go to http://www.powertabs.net (get Power Tab if you dont already have it) then download the Al Di Meola tab - Egyptian Danza. Its definately good fun to play. Some of the note groupings are odd and so a little difficult to get your head round at first but good fun none the less :) Enjoy!

Ibanez Gio wasnt that bad... hot rodded it. Installed a Dimarzio Evolution and 2x virtual vintage single coils which ended up being worth more than the guitar itself.

I say... first of all get Power Tab: http://powertab.guitarnetwork.org/ Go here: http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=artist,130 download the songs you want. From there you can edit them or whatever and export them as midi files from within Powertab. [Works for me]

Im looking for a new amp head... I play music in the vein of Pantera, Arch Enemy, Dream Theater and I have roughly £250 to spend. Any suggestions of gear I should check out?
