The inevitable has happened.. Good Bye Lopez

I hope youre right Mike! I have all the faith in the world in you- Maybe we'll see some blastbeats in Opeth now! We all know that is the only thing Lopez could not do- and Axenrot absolutely rules at! So there it is... I predict more catchy-Morbid Angel-esque Opeth songs in the future...

The inevitable has happened.. Good Bye Lopez

I said this a few weeks ago too. It would be very creepy as Hux looks ALOT like MLo.. haha:OMG:

The inevitable has happened.. Good Bye Lopez

Holy Shit! This blows... I just hope Opeth doesn't need to dumb-down or change their music for Axenrot. I mean, he's great at the straightforward DM style of Bloodbath but he has absolutely no feel for what Opeth was.. I feel like a huge piece of Opeth has died. Fuckin' sad....:waah:

    Jeff Buckley

I tried to tell everyone here about Jimmy Gnecco and how fucking amazing he is.. sure there are comparisons to Buckley, but I think Jimmy's songs are more dark and sad. I've seen him a bunch of times live and its always been like a religious experience.:notworthy
  15. OneFootBlaster

    Lopez

I don't think he would.. I know he would definitely raise the bar of musicality in the band. He can play any style incredibly well. I saw him playing some jazz and he has that "thing" that awesome musicians have that you cant describe- its a very natural feel.

    Unknown awesome bands!?

uhm, my bands! haha :rock::rock::rock: NOCTUARY WINTERTHRALL
  17. OneFootBlaster

    Lopez

Now thats an idea! Derek can play anything! Runs rings around pretty much any drummers Opeth ever had. I would say get Huxflux from PAATOS to join- he plays very similar to MLo and looks eerily like him! :zombie:
  18. OneFootBlaster

What would you want Opeth's setlist to look like for the upcoming tour?

In a perfect world: I'd like to see 2 sets. One acoustic/quiet and a Death Metal set as well. Acoustic: Isolation Years Silhouette (Per would probably turn this into a masterpiece) Atonement Credence Benighted Still Day Beneath The Sun Face Of Melinda To Bid You Farewell To Rid The Disease Hope...
