Which song(s) got you into Opeth and when?

I think it was Harvest off Blackwater Park, but I only heard in about 2005 or so. Got the rest of their stuff shortly after.

    Covers that would suit Opeth

How Could I by Cynic. Replace the 'robot' vocals with clean singing though.

Mostest easiest Opeth songs on guitar.

Ending Credits was the easiest one for me to play out of everything I've tried Opeth.

Another Lackluster Video...A Burden for Opeth to bear...

I'm surprised Opeth didn't make a video for Coil. It's a really good song, it's very accessible to the mainstream, no cutting needed would be needed as it is fairly short and you could come with some nice fitting visuals pretty easily. The only problem that does comes to mind however, is that...

Is Opeth your # 1 Band?

Yes Opeth is my favourite. I also dig (in no particular order) Symphony X, Kamelot, Bloodbath, Sabbath, Mastodon, King Crimson, Arch Enemy, Al Di Meola, Devin Townsend (Band) & SYL, Scar Symmetry, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Newton Faulkner, Cynic, Santana, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, Death...

Watershed: Are you disapointed with it?

Nope, I really love it. My (current) favorite moment has to be the opening guitar part on Hessian Peel. [The only big complaint would be the opening drums & guitars in Porcelain Heart. It just built up and up, making me think 'fuck yeah, hell is about to be let loose' the first time I heard it...

    buy Mike an album thread

The Rite Of Strings - Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke & Jean-Luc Ponty Very fun to listen to acoustic jazz-rock by 3 brilliant dudes. I want some Al Di Meola inspired riffs on an Opeth album - I would seriously cum rainbows if this were to happen.

What Opeth album should I get?

Ah, crap. My fail there, I've got a Lamentations live DVD and assumed Lamentations was a DVD only and available in CD form.
