I just recently got a Countryman Type 85 DI box that i use going into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Interface. I sent a DI track to be tested and was told it has hiss/noise on it. I read that these interfaces are known for clipping issues and i barely had the gain up on my interface . It sounded like you could hear some weird noise while the guitar was playing. Did another take with the gain knob all the way down and its really hard to tell its there.
Does it make a difference if the gain knob on my interface is ALL the way down while i track DI? Can that eliminate noise floor issues?
