Death Metal Crits

Hey guys! First post on the sneap forum, I would love to get some feedback on a mix I've been working on. This is my first mix using monitors (I've always used headphones) so I'm still getting used to them a little bit. I didn't do any of the recording, I got the raw tracks from the chango facebook page. The mix is still incomplete, still some things I still need to change, mainly volume/automation stuff. Any comments/advice would be much appreciated!

I'm digging this. It could just be my speakers, but I could use a little more kick drum. I'm also hearing something odd in the low mid range of the guitars. It's hardly noticeable, but it shows up in some spots of the song, for example the palm mutes coming in at :15. Aside from that, this mix is bitchin'.

Thanks dude! I'll take a look at the guitars and see if I can figure that out, listening back now I think I can hear what you're talking about.

I posted a very slightly updated mix, did some cuts on the guitars and boosted the kick a little. No major changes but hopefully the guitars are a little better.

sounds heavy! i think the vocals could use a tad more presence in the mix. guitars have this cool bloodbath meets nihility ere decap sound to them. lead guitars sound just a bit too loud in my speakers.
