If i spend to much time with the H/W buffer size to the lowest (64), i get an error message after like 2 hours that tells me to increase buffer size.

Do i need more memory ? (1,6 go now), BTW no other apllications are open exept pro tools.

whack the buffer size to highest and use low latency monitoring if you dont need plugins on the input.
if not just increase the buffer size!

more memory isn't really going to help that problem... faster cpu, ram and fsb will.

what's wrong with turning up the h/w buffer?

Oh, I meant faster RAM, not more of it...

But as said before, I'd suggest to turn up the H/W buffer a bit, and use 'low latency monitoring.'

Otherwise mute the track in PT, and monitor from your input if your hardware allows it... such as from the mixer that installs with the drivers for most audio interfaces...
