I've just re-listened to this CD today in my car, and wow it's just pure bliss!! love Trend Gardner as a composer and every musicians on this opus are highly talented.
Have a question though. I would like to know the tuning of the guitars on the 1st song: Fate Speaks. don't have the CD with me at the moment I'm writing this message, but apparently the rhythm guitar is tuned down... is it a drop or standard tuning? some of the riffs seems to be more playable with a drop tuning but I'm not sure at all.
also, concerning the lead part you and Petrucci played, did you tuned your guitars the same way as the rhythm guitar? or simply just standard tuning perhaps...
as usual your tone is absolutely killer, also I would be curious to know the gear and settings you had to record that!
