Hyperspace: I believe they started using corn syrup in the late '80s/early '90s, so that could explain it. Some people don't taste a difference at all, but I drink a LOT of soda, so I'm one of those people who can tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi; Dr. Pepper from Mr. Pibb, etc.
