Hmm, to be honest it's gain definitely isn't at the quality of say a mesa triple rectifier, but i would record with it becuase i really like the tone i get out of mine. I agree with you on the reverb, the reverb on it also gives some contour the tone as well as just making it sound like it's in a hall y'know... The clean isn't the best either, but it does the job. If I wanted to record some real clean parst, i'd probably get an FX board and put some slight chorus on it or something.

oh yeah and i have the amp that is in the second link. So you're saying it's post 2004? i got it second hand and it looked fairly old to me.
