In fairness, if they had a "proper metal vocalist" as you put it, they'd just be Asesino with another line up change, although that would be an improvement.
I got the the album recently, as I've enjoyed more or less all of Dino Cazares work, and I agree, the clean vocals are definately a let down, although I don't mind the more hardcore style of vocals myself.
The only thing I can't figure out is why Dino didn't just release another Asesino album, instead of forming another band with virtually the same sound.
