Seen several movies recently, but a few have stuck:
Diary of the Dead - we left this with total ambivalence. I'm not sure if it was lame, terrible with horrible actors, or likable in its own quirky right. Romero's social satire was more apparent than ever, at least. And, some of the gags worked; some were gimmicky and stupid.
Secretary - It tackled the subject well, or "safely", plus Gyllenhaal's excellent and adorable. But I thought the wry humour was kind of lost someway through it, and the narrative just sort of floundered towards the end.. Eh, I guess I just expected more.
Plus some truly dire ones, like Cannibal Holocaust, Alligator 2: The Mutation, and King of the Kickboxers, which as a child I thought was exactly how an enjoyably terrible martial arts film should be done. Wrong.
