Linux

What Linux distro are you using or have you used? (if you use Linux)

Did you like it?

What were some complaints you had?

How was installation and hardware support?

Do you recommend this Linux distro?

i recommend debian or slackware because they're relatively free of bloat and customizable. complaints? always.
hardware support? well, i roll my own kernels.
yes i recommend this linux distro highly.

I dont use Linux, but im very interested in trying to learn it. I hear there is an easy distro called P.H.L.A.X or P.H.L.U.X. . its one of those bootable ones from a cd which u pop in so you dont need to install it. i forget the term for it, but i think im going to check it out. Right now i use a different windows shell called Litestep, which is very customizable and looks alot like linux, if you want it to that is.

I'm answering my own question:

What Linux distro are you using or have you used? (if you use Linux)
Mandrake 10.0

Did you like it?
Yes.

What were some complaints you had?
Some of my hardware aren't supported (webcam & scanner)

How was installation and hardware support?
Long, but easy. Just my webcam and scanner aren't supported.

Do you recommend this Linux distro?
Yes.

What Linux distro are you using or have you used? (if you use Linux)
Mandrake 9.1

Did you like it?
Yes.

What were some complaints you had?
That I spend too much time using Win XP instead.

How was installation and hardware support?
Completely streamlined, not a single hardware issue, total install was under an hour.

Do you recommend this Linux distro?
Haven't used it enough to recommend it, but I'm a LINUX n00b anyhow.

Redhat 7.something, Redhat 9.0, Mandrake 9.1, Mandrake 9.2, Knoppix and Phlak

Did you like it?
Yup

What were some complaints you had?
Again hardware support, but at the fault of a manufacturer, not Linux.

How was installation and hardware support?
Stupidly simple in Mandrake's case.

Do you recommend this Linux distro?
I'd recommend Mandrake 9.2 out of all of them
