How much of that music was made for the game itself?

Mute City from Brawl has some shreddy bits i like it in.
Also some of the stuff from Dynasty warriors.
Not that Metal but its got guitars in .
Thats my favorite Red Alert one, its great i think
And Vrock from Vice City was the best collection of songs to anything ever, it even beats Brutal Legend.

Splatterhouse has a good metal soundtrack, gameplay can get a bit repetitive tho. Still Im always up for half an hour of bloody, metal-fuelled gameplay with porn as a reward...

Probably more rock than metal, but Shadows of the Damned was released today on Xbox 360 and PS3. A buddy of mine worked on this game.

All the id games have been big supporters of metal music. Doom 95 lvl 1 soundtrack even tributes Metallicas No remorse.
