Seems like that would be the case. Tomorrow is the day! I finally get to go see some fucking Amon Amarth! I will post here probably on Wednesday to let you guys know what time they came on, how long they played etc. I'll be way to drunk tomorrow to do anything

Sorry what I was saying is doors open at 11 I think so that would mean AA would do the meet and greet @ 11:30. I will definitely keep you posted, if I don't kill myself listening to all those shit ass bands that will be there. AA will make it worthwhile though

Alright just got back into town, Amon Amarth was fucking awesome!! I got like 10 feet away from the stage when they were playing. There was no moshpits allowed at the venue but one started anyways when they came on. Their set was short but whatever man its still AA. They came on around 4 after one of the shittiest bands I have ever heard, the number 12 looks like you. They played 5 songs, I think in this order but not too sure.

Valhall Awaits Me
Runes to my Memory
Death in Fire
Asator
Pursuit of Vikings

My neck hurts from doing haircopters, fuck yea! They did a signing @ 6:30 and I got to meet all the members and shake their hands, Johan even commented on my Thor hammer AA t-shirt haha. All in all, it was fucking awesome just to go see them so close and meet all the guys from the band. Definitely worth the money just for AA.

Yeah, of course I would have loved to see them play for 2 more hours. I knew they only had a small time slot in this tour so I was expecting around that many songs anyways. Still was brutal!

At the Toronto show last year, band merchandise was cheap. Shirts were $20.00, so hopefully merch is the same price this year. That would kick ass. Speaking of merch, could anybody tell me what merchandise Amon Amarth have on this tour, and how much they are? Thanks

It was a small booth but they had a couple t-shirts and stickers. T-shirts were 15$ I believe.

Thanks. How about hoodies, work shirts or belt buckles? What did the shirts have on them?

I wasn't really paying attention to the stuff there, the whole band was behind the counter lol...plus I was pretty drunk and don't remember everything. I do remember that the shirts on the wall were With Oden On Our Side tour shirts.

I'm still considering going just to see Amon Amarth(and maybe Goatwhore). I saw them once, my first time ever, back in 05... and I was floored! I bet they're not gonna have many fans initially, but by the end of the show, everyone will love them... (happened with Opeth 1st SOTU here, and Behemoth 2nd SOTU)

Probably the only band I wanna meet too. Dark skinned viking in the making

I just came back from the Sounds Of The Underground show here in NJ!

The whole show was OK, except for Amon Amarth! They were awesome!

First time I see them. I've liked them for a while, but never had the chance to see them live. Boy, what I was missing...

Great show, lots of energy, can't wait for them to come back anywhere within 200 miles from home!

Oh, best part of the day...

I saw the guys a few hours later, next to the parking lot, and got their autographs... (I kind of felt bad bothering them, but I HAD NO CHOICE)

Back from the NJ show was well. Completely amazing. I got in at the end of Valhall Awaits me, my brother and I were a bit in the middle, so he lifted me on his shoulders to let me see them, and after their set, him and I went backstage for a while and talked to them and others. 'Twas fun.

I fucking missed their set! The home page and their myspace said 3pm which i was there for, but they went on at fucking 2:25! And on top of that they were out of XL shirts!

On the bright side I got patches and two pics with Johan when he wandering around later so it wasn't a total loss. Plus Testament kicked ass.

anytime

I'm going to the Philly one, but not to the show, just to hang out. I don't have 40.00 to shell out

Aside from Amon Amarth, was there any other band that put on a good set? How was Goatwhore?

I missed Goatwhore, I heard they were ok. Chimaira was good, as was Shadows Fall, and Gwar.

But the best band there was Testament

Heard of Testament before, but never really listened to them. Any recommendation of what albums to buy or what songs to check out? Thanks
