On better note, I loved the grocery stores, there was so much random stuff I can't imagine anyone buying. I also liked the fact that there was a large selection of beer, wine and liquor just in a regular grocery store...around here you can buy wine and beer in grocery stores and corner stores, but it's mostly shit. And anything over 20% you can only buy at liquor board (SAQ) stores that are usually overpriced. I alos noticed super size bottles of whiskey that were larger than any I'd ever seen here in Canada. I found it kind of weird seeing all kinds of abandoned houses and shit too...I don't remember it being that bad before, so I guess the recession really is hitting them down there. All in all not a bad trip, it was good to go to the ocean, I've been kind of missing it since last time I went to visit my grandmother in British Columbia...even though it's a different ocean it's still salt water. At 4.30 or so, I wake up on a bus by
"hey, this is the last stop!" I'm like, wot? When's the next bus back home? "more than an hour, this is the last bus this morning!" aaargh, oh well, lets figure out if to take a taxi or sleep in the bushes waiting for the bus...... "hey dude, I'll take you to this place fairly close to where you wanna take a tram" yay! But he takes me all the way to the tram! Fucken nice guy indeed!! |

So apparently...my jobs idea of cross-training...is moving me from the dock to scrubbing toilets...dunno if I can take another 9hrs of cleaning up after little kids that pee on the floor.

nope, it's 2 differnet updates!
however i got fired cause apperently i wasn't doing enough sales, while the funny thing is, im on my training week so off course i wont do enough sales. They wanted me to have the same production rate as others who've been around for many months and weeks! actually i did some chainmailing yesterday at work, it's a call center, everyone gets to do whatever they want while dailing so i got my rings and started chaining them ![]() Last edited by amon666 : August 11th, 2009 at 06:11 PM. |

I was at a "Mongolian" barbeque restaurant yesterday (I doubt it was traditional Mongolian food somehow) and had all sorts of strange stuff- Springbok, Kangaroo, Zebra, boar, ostrich - pity they run out of crocodile, I was wanting to try that.
![]() Best flavour has got to be the Springbok, but the kangaroo was quite tasty too, in a more gamy way. They also had an "authentic" mongolian ale, brewed in, er, London ![]() |
