70 000 tons of metal cruise

In reading some of the threads of the forum I noticed that some of you have been a part of the 70 000 tons of metal cruise.

How many months in advance did you book your cabin, would you go back another time?

And what was your experience as a whole?

Last year booked the cruise in, hmm, July or so?

This year I booked it in April I think

Wasn't planning on going back, mainly due to it does cost a bit, specially going over from Europe, but to hell with it, got the money for it now, so I'm going back

Very relaxed atmosphere, most bands hung out around the ship all the time, cool people, great experience, made a lot of friends

I will go back again not likely next year though. Overall experience was surreal. Well worth it as you're getting two things for the price of one (cruise & metal festival).

btw. food was awesome and beer was fairly priced and descent selection, good time for sure and memories for life

Thanks for the advice.

I would have liked to go next January, but I've already made appointments for a 20H long back tattoo which will take all my savings.

In 2013, I'll go for sure. See you then!

I took the inspiration in the Urnes stave church portal, the ultimate stage of viking art.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:La...kyrkje_(I).jpg

I plan to add a few additional north mythology hints in it.

My first appointment with the tattooer in next July, 13 (Tin-Tin Paris); I can't wait to start!

About 7 minutes into this video of Dark Funderal
you can see my pull out and put on my bright pink back pack, very important for the right outfit when watching black metal!

Here's a shot of me doing Y.M.C.A. for karaoke, haha

It sounds like:
drink beer, have fun, haha

well, from last year, when I made a drunk appearance, if you are not too scared, check this out (disclaimer, I am a horrible singer, hahaha):

(it is also where I got the idea for YMCA this year, since he played the intro so long before my song started I just "had to" start dancing to it )

Damn!

A lot of it is due to hanging out with friends I met on the forum for the cruise, if anyone plans on going, I can very much recommend hanging on that forum a while before:
http://www.70000tons.com/forum/index.php

The beer selection was even better this year, yay

And for others, there's a new cruise announced, well dates for it at least, arranged by the same people, happening on the same boat as the last two 70k has been on, most likely will be epic as well:
http://www.bargetohell.com/

No dates announced for the 70k part 3 = 2013 yet though.
