So i swapped my emg's and recorded them before the swap and after.

Hmm, hard to tell cuz you're not playing exactly the same thing each time, but with distortion I prefer the cut of the 60 in both guitars, cuz IMO the neck spot really needs it (and not a muddy pickup like the 85) - however, the 60 perhaps might have too much cut and not enough body; I'd be interested to hear 60 vs. 81, cuz I really like the 81 in the neck of my EC-400. I prefer the 85 for cleans, but that's of course a lower priority for me

For cleans on first listen I like the Schecter with 85 ..creamy and smooth. The 60 is brighter but it's almost harsh.
