Mr. Sneap, how do you go about ear-care, have you ever gone to an audiologist?

Mr.Sneap..could you remember what Wah pedal was used on Doomsday machine (and if possible...in their last dvd)?
seriously that album has the best lead tone EVER.PERIOD.
the leads sounds so fucking big and epic (and in their last DVD live too)

Do you usually use the same type of reverb in the leads? (plate , spring , hall , room...etc etc)

When it comes to leads, that's where I really gotta say the tone is mostly in the fingers (way more than rhythm IMO), but still, Andy's wizardry definitely helped, and I agree, the lead tone is godlike on that album! I'm just saying, I doubt knowing what wah pedal was used will really help anyone in achieving it

i just fucking like that wah sound (in the last dvd is awesome) and im planning on getting a wah pedal for the home studio in the future

Seriously i have wet dreams with this lead tone

Hi Andy, just a very brief question.

For guitars, do you ever use 2x12's or only exclusively 4x12's?

Cheers

Hey Andy we talked for a few seconds after your performance at Bloodstock '07 (Great show mate)! How far is your studio/house from the place where Bloodstock takes action?

Cheers

I have a new one:
What snare drum/s (brand and model) are we hearing in most of your mixes? Do you prefer a particular one/type or do you just make every snare that comes into your studio sound epic?

What compressor do you use for drums ? separately for - bd and separately for snare tracks (i am NOT talking about parallel compression). What kind of reverb do you use for drums also (if you do)
thx

Don't take this as gospel, but I'm pretty sure all the compression Andy uses on drums is through the Metric Halo Channel Strip, and for reverb he generally uses D-Verb in ProTools.

Thx Andy for your answers

here`s some:
- How hot you cranked amp for recording ?
- What you do with trrigger signal to avoid double triggering problem ? ( besides threshold and release(retriggering) time - I`m think about decreasing sustein, but on yours photos and life DVDs didn`t notice dampening bars like moongel etc. so maybe you make original signal from triggers similar to damped with comp, gate etc.? If so how exactly? )
sorry for my English

he uses Metric Helo Channelstrip for drums.
D-verb for reverb on drums.

Hey Andy,

Here's a question that's been troubling me :

How do you choose the crossover frequencies on your master multi-band comp ?

Thanks in advance,
akarawd

Any of you knows which way "the pros" record guitars on a live performance, cause I´m going to record some bands live shit, and I´d like to achieve a good sound quality.
I wonder if they uses DI boxes and then reamp at studio, or uses line signal from the amp and then IR´s, o simply the mic in front of the amp.....any idea???

Oh thanks, I´ll try both. Any idea on vocals, drums and bass?? Cause my goal is to achieve a pro sound, near to AE LIve apocalypse or something like that and I am pretty confused. When I listen to that dvd I hear Angela´s voice so clean, that I can´t believe it´s recorded live....
