Amazing Songs

Okay, I've been wanting to do this for a while so here goes: I'd like to share with you all some songs that I think are just amazing, so I'm just going to list them whenever they come to mind or when they pop up on my itunes. Feel free to add your own if you like.

* The Spirit of Survival - Yes - Magnification - 2001
Killer tune with a very cool bass line.

* Between - Jerry Cantrell - Boggy Depot - 1998
Amazing lyrics, vocals, and music; "Somewhere in between the wrong and right, we fight. It's fair to say that in your eyes I'm wrong, yet in my mind it's alright".

* A Pleasant Shade of Gray VI - A Pleasant Shade of Gray - 1997
The midpoint song on this epic cd; it took me a while to get into this cd, but one day it just hit me and it's now one of my all time favs!

* Heal Me - Fates Warning - FWX - 2004
It's fascinating how much this band has evolved over the years; FWX is just phoenomenal and Heal Me is my favourite.

* Higher Than The Sun - Balance of Power - Perfect Balance - 2001
Those of you who are fans of Lance King's vocals and have never heard this song; you don't know what you're missing!

* The Excorcist - King Diamond - Voodoo - 1998
Unlike most KD fans, I LOVE his mid-nineties work to present rather than his 80's stuff; Voodoo is an amazing cd and The Excorcist is the stand out track: "Father Malone; The Exorcist"

* Flaming Pie (Album) - Paul McCartney - 1997
3 outstanding tracks on this deeply personal album he wrote for and about his dying wife Linda. "The World Tonight", "Young Boy", and "Beautiful Night" are definitely all amazing.

More to come...

FROM THE ASHES COMES THE MADNESS OF MAN
CONSUMED BY SELFISHNESS AND GREED
CHAOS WILL REIGN UPON THIS EARTH
FOR GENERATIONS UPON GENERATIONS
UNTIL THE DAY THAT PEACE WILL BE RESTORED ... FOREVER!

Annihilator - Human Insecticide. (from Alice In Hell) Jeff's playing in that song is so fucking fast, my favorite thrash song of all time.
