The next "must have" for studios?

New digital drum tuner

the "difference" mode is epic
and also the "save tuning" feature is just priceless

So the benefit with this is, you have the same pitch at different zones if the head, right? So if the drunmer doesn't always hit the center or the same spot, you still have tone consistency?

Wow, this is just what i've been looking for. Recording drums is a bitch when you notice the snare has lost pitch after half-a-song. Even though you'll be triggering in the mix stage the snare bleed in the overheads always affect the triggered snare, so getting the same pitch will ensure that the drums sound exactly the same from song to song.

This toy is priceless, especially after you've spent HOURS tuning new heads on a kit before tracking... saves you time, and saves your clients money... and it looks like being less a bitch than a drum dial!

Edit: 149.95 $ at Guitar Center, seems like it's not available on online stores or internationally yet... FUCK!

The DTS seems cool for a more permanent solution, but the TuneBot seems better for engineers/techs that have to deal with different kits all the time. I'm going to be snagging one of the TB's ASAP.

Very good tool for a very decent price! I can definitely see this (or its follow-ups) becoming a studiostaple. Tuning with this just looks like a breeze!
