YT: Torpedo Live Professional Load box
Brett did an awesome video a couple of months ago with this unit, and I met the guy at Frankfurt Messe. It's a professional load box with built in impulses, cab, microphone simulations, positioning simulations etc. You can also import your own impulses.
I felt I had to do a little bit of explaining in the video so my voice is all over the place. |

Holy shit @ deep voice a la Mikael Akerfeldt
![]() Sick tone you got there Ola ! I'm glad the Two Notes guys and you finally met ! By the way, what's the orange thingie around the first fret ? Is it a capo of some sort ? Or just something to mute the strings for clean recording ? EDIT : sick ass riffing and production also ! Just noticed you were using the H&K 412 Greenbacks / Ribbon 160 combo... I love this mic with my setup but never liked this cab for my setup (for metal at least). Funny how things work from one person/setup to another. It's all about trying a lot of combinations and just listening i guess (sometimes "odd" (Vox cab miked by Royer 121) setups will sound insane, whereas "classic" setups (Mesa Recto cab miked by SM57) won't cut it, and the other way round of course). LOL those prices are insane. I was thinking something around 300-500€. That pedal version doesn't have a power soak right? So you pay a thousand for an IR box? OMG that's just stupid...
Well I guess when you don't have competitors you can ask what ever you want. A power soak with custom IRs should not cost that much. 500€ would be okay. |

I hope you're gonna do clips of this signal chain also : epic beard -> clean boost -> torpedo live EDIT : "scrunchie" in French = "chouchou" (which is like "cabbage cabbage", but "chou" also means "cute / honey / baby...") bref j'ai appris le mot "scrunchie" aujourd'hui Last edited by Djabthrash : April 23rd, 2012 at 04:55 PM. |

Wow this is pretty neat! Really wondering how much the pedal version will cost because this is simply way to much for an IR box IMO. At that price i feel like the kemper would be a worthy sub.
The ability to use your own amp in home recording easily is pretty awesome though |
