Preamp Tube Shootout - Randall T2
Here is a video I put together yesterday with different tubes in different positions. There is a slight difference but I think they are pretty much negligible.

It seems the biggest effect on tone is the tube in the first slot... with that said I like the TAD first or the Mesa.
Right now I have a Ruby 12ax7 HG+ in my V2's v1 slot... haven't tried it in my T2 yet though, I think it has an EH in there right now. You should put Randall T2 in the thread title, Cheers dude! Last edited by Wookieslayer : June 18th, 2012 at 01:30 PM. |

Yeah I think I prefer the tad or mesa, the mesa seems to have more bass and more high which sounds crisp in the mix.
