Battle metal
For some strange reason, I've really been feeling into this "genre" lately. So far, I've generated an enthusiasm for these bands. Feel free to post the ones you enjoy (or flame me for some lame taste in metal
).Alestorm Amon Amarth Turisas Moonsorrow

A little late to this thread, at least to post in it. I've been into Amon Amarth for a few years, but wow, these other bands are aweosme!!
Totally digging Alestorm and Moonsorrow right now. Thanks!! |

True, however, I categorize them all under the very broad umbrella term of "battle metal". These bands have a few things in common with each other and that was what I was trying to highlight. They each express themes of movement and conquest.

Ya'll should check out suidakra http://www.myspace.com/suidakra
They really are an awesome highly underrated band in this genre. I especially recommend checking out the aptly title Wartunes on their myspace. |
