DEW SCENTED
Just saw on Andy's myspace that he is mixing their new one, wahey finally a Dew Scented album thats not completely squashed to death and is not over loud! Can't wait to hear it, I reckon they will suit Andy's sound.

yeah, andy classen's stuff tend to be way louder than other records. plus his rhythm guitar sound almost always has a digital edge to it, likely due to his extensive use of a certain piece of solid state gear....while his sound isn't bad, having sneap behind the desk certainly won't make their new one sound worse
![]() now, lets just hope that the music is better than on their last one....impact was OK, although kinda repetitive, but issue VI was really boring imho.... |

I never got round to buying Issue VI, but I was tempted when I saw the joint CD DVD package thing. Inwards and Impact are pretty cool though. Really cool band to see live, saw em in Finland at Tuska.

yes, but why should this thread dissapear then?
you've finished working on Nevermore TGE, too, but the thread's still there.... the way Brett wrote the last post just made me think something weird is going on with Dew..... the way Brett said "..will dissapear very soon" just sounded like "..is gonna be deleted" or so... perhaps i just got it wrong ![]() |

HAHAHA oooops, misunderstanding here... I asked Andy if he was still mixing it, and he said "no" but no in "it's already done" apparently, while I understood 'I'm not mixing it anymore", lol :-) Bah, at least this thread has be bumped... (hides in shame)

One question andy,
I recorded at joerg ukens place april 2006 our debut.(www.myspace.com/boametal) The man is very nice and knows how to do things but he recorded with an very old setup. I know he has a protools system now but at that time he didnt. So how do you get the tracks? Thanks man |

New song online
Sounds pretty good as far as I can tell through myspace. Wouldn't really expect anything else. |

so, seems like you panned the two "undergained" tracks hard right, and the two reamped ones hard left, except for some harmony stuff, right?
i wonder what amps they used to record the stuff, and what andy used for reamping...kinda sounds like 5150 to my ears (the reamp i mean)....the original tracks could actually be a boosted jcm800, there's a certain mid spike and percussiveness (sp) that screams marshall...imho ![]() anyways, cool album! MUCH better than issue VI, and even better than impact i think. production is also way better than on their previous stuff....i'm not trying to bash andy classen, but sneap is just another league, and the new DS is the proof ![]() |
