Just check out other early 90s Scandinavian Death Metal bands. Here's a few recommendations to start you off.
Demigod - Slumber of Sullen Eyes
Cartilage - The Fragile Concept of Affection
Therion - Beyond Sanctorum
Gorement - The Ending Quest
Depravity - Silence of the Centuries
God Macabre - The Winterlong

I gotta give a big NOT EVEN CLOSE to the 'sentenced?' one. perhaps Far From the Sun was close to doomy Sentenced shit, but their old death metal with a middleeast influence in the riffs is not something Sentenced have so much as a lick of in a single song.
that said, I honestly can't think of anything too similar to, or as good as, old Amorphis.
Edge of Sanity, and Bolt Thrower are nice, but only really a little of the style is the same, not the melodies or anything.

Shadows of the Past definitely shares similarities with The Karelian Isthmus.

Demigod-slumber of sullen eyes
Edge of Sanity-Unorthodox,The Spectral Sorrows.
Honestly you might just want to look into early 90's swedish and finland death metal.

Paradise Lost - Gothic is pretty similiar
Check Darkified, Cianide, Goatlord, and Gorement for the doomy death sound.

Good luck. That's the bands defining album, and quite unique.
If you end up checking out Therion, I recommend Symphony Masses.

Who cares, Tales From A Thousand Lakes is easily the worst melodic metal album ever made.
