Technical Death Metal

By far my favorite genre in my metal. Some people call it "wankery," and I respect that that's your opinion. My opinion is that music needs to convey feelings and at the same time be interesting. Anyways, discuss and recommend...

I'll start with Sinners Bleed... Wow

i like jazz fusion bands as long as the jazz part isnt very dominating.

Atheist
Gorguts
Death (later albums)
Quo Vadis
Gorod
Demilich

Not too familiar with many other technical Death Metal bands but I guess those are the basics I'm into.

Legion is every bit as technical as, say, Necrophagist, it just emphasizes precision in rhythm playing over sweeps and pinch harmonics and other calling cards of the contemporary wanker metal scene.

Nocturnus is basically a very simple power chord churn with shred style solos, what's technical about that?
