First one if for good melodic metal bands. Is there such a thing as melodic thrash? Don't seem like they would go together but there seems to be every kind of metal about nowadays.
Anyway. Melodic, the faster the better
Secondly, any bands abit like 3 Inches of Blood?
Lyrically, vocally, or musically. (SPSPSP?)

Try Kreator-Enemy Of God and The Absence-Riders Of The Plague
As for 3IOB, go for the old school! Judas Priest-Painkiller

For melodic thrash try:
Toxik
Powermad
Annihilator
Artillery - By Inheritance
Intruder
Cyclone Temple
Realm
Whiplash - Insult to Injury
and for some speed metal:
Agent Steel
Attacker

Melodic thrash... Sanctity definantly... Maybe Metallica's later stuff, or am I just asking to be bitten?
Lyrically like 3 Inches? Try an Viking/Folk/some Black Metal.

This might be a horrible question but what exactly is melodic thrash metal...?

I am kinda taking it to mean less harsh thrash with more melody and mostly clean vocals.

Hm, more melodic thrash would basically be power metal a lot of the time...try out maybe Metal Church, Virgin Steele, Manilla Road - Mystification...I dunno.
