Definitely Norther (Death Unlimited), early Amorphis and Amon Amarth.
Amorphis's more recent stuff is awesome as well, and some of it still incorporates a death metal feel:
-"Perkele (The God of Fire)"
-"Leaves Scar"
-"A Servant"
-"Weaving the Incantation"
-"Towards and Against"

Black Horizons
Fragments of Unbecoming
Burden of Grief
Black Horizons sounds exactly like Dissection - SotLB with more death metal in it. The other two are standard, good melodic death.

Speaking of bands like Dissection and Sacramentum (melodic black/death style), I highly suggest Dawn Of Dreams!

A Canorous Quintet is pretty good too.

Good rec. It sounds like a black metal version of The Karelian Isthmus (due to the guitar tone and the use of high single note melodies over the low second guitar).

I know it's been said, but to specify:
Amon Amarth, Vahall Awaits Me and Versus the World are good starting points.
Though if you prefer rougher production, you might also enjoy Once Sent from the Golden Hall.

All Amon Amarth is pretty similar, IMO; they are a consistently good band that keeps on releasing the same album. And I think that With Odin On Our Side is just as good as any of their other releases.

Meh. Opinions.
I'm not the biggest fan of all pre-Versus the World stuff because of the rough production.
Fate Of Norns isn't too great either, focusing more on slower, ballady songs.
For me Vs the World and With Odin on Our Side are the pinacles so far.
