Sludge
Could someone recommend me some good sludge? Preferably something heavy and gritty. Maybe a little drone for good measure.

Acid Bath is the best band but their sound isn't all that abrasive.
You should check out:
Dystopia
EyeHateGod
Dot(.)
The Indomitable Iron Sloth
Iron Monkey
I'm not a huge sludge fan though, these are a few obvious..

Recommendations are appreciated. I've been wanting to get into sludge for awhile so I will definitly check out all these bands. I don't know why I haven't heard Acid Bath yet.

Eyehategod are the masters.
Crowbar is one of my favorites even though they're on the more coherant side of sludge.
Not quite sludge, but if you like the slow ungodly heavy sound...check out Floor.
I like the Zoroaster suggestion. They're starting to really make a name for themselves. Congrats to those guys.
