Either Super-Fuzz/Bigmuff or Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. Their self-titled is cool too, but be aware that some of their later stuff (Piece Of Cake, My Brother The Cow, etc...) sounds a bit on the poppy side.

Anyone remember the Meat Puppets? They were like grunge/country alt. They had some pretty cool stuff, although I was more a fan of their country alt than their grunge/punk material.
For those who don't know them, Nirvana covered them on the Nirvana MTV Unplugged. They wrote the song Lake of Fire.

I think Too High To Die is their best, though Forbidden Places and No Joke had a good song here and there. As for their 80's stuff....meh, not a fan, really. I used to have a lot of their stuff on casette and couldn't tell yo where the hell it all is now.

That's Pearl Jam with Andrew Wood as the lead singer, right?

I agree Hole was horrible plus Courtney Love is so nasty that even if her music was good, I could not allow myself to hear it out of good conscience.

Yeah, they have a few of the same members. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of ex-Green River members as well.

Yep... and she had one of the greatest song writers ever murdered.

Jeff Ament Bruce Fairweather, and Stone Gossard were in G.R., and went on to MLB to suck for a while, then Jeff and Stone went on to PJ.
