Lookin for some dark post rock. If you're at all familiar with Godspeed You Black Emperor's "Dead Flag Blues" off F#A#, I want something like that
beyond the obvious post rock recs.

I've been looking for some post-rock on the darker side myself but haven't had much luck.
About the only band I can think of is Slint and they don't even really fit what you're looking for. The dark elements in their music are rather subtle, though. But, I assume you already know of them.

Even though I'm not sure I'd classify Magyar Posse as dark post rock (at least the bits I heard), they are pretty fucking amazing. Cheers for the rec, Doom!
