AMASEFFER
Epic / classical style metal, historic (the Exodus Biblical story) material. They are about to release part one of a trilogy project.

Therion, but only on a few songs. If you check out the albums Lemuria and Sirius B, you'll find a few songs:
"The Wondrous World of Punt"
"Abraxas"
"Son of the Sun"
Some songs on other albums derive from Egyptian mythology; for instance, "Eternal Return" from Deggial is about the concept of eternal return that has its roots in Egyptian mythology.

Tiamat, Absu, and Anael have all dealt with Sumerian mythology if I'm not mistaken.

Are Sumerian and Egyptian mythologies the same, or similar? If so, Therion has a ton more songs that deal with Sumerian mythology.

Apparently not as similar as I thought...there are overlapping practices and influences, but the structure of worship seems to be different. Still, it might be interesting depending on what you're looking for.

Yeah, it's not the catchiest title. The song is awesome though.

Melechesh are themed around Sumerian/Mesopotamian mythology, and they are a thoroughly kickass band.

Did Mats Levens do work with Therion before?
He recently did the vocals for Amaseffer, (previously mentioned).
