I have a strange request.

I'd like some songs that are thoughtful, encompassing the feeling of trying to reach for the answers, yet sad that so few even try to reach. Got anything that fits this feel?

Anathema - Alternative 4 is a pretty desperate album.
I still don't know if thats what your looking for.

I'm slightly hesitant to answer because I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I'm thinking maybe Virgin Black might be along the lines of what you're looking for. Any specific genre, or just anything that fits your subject matter?

EDIT: @Belligerent's post, Anathema seems like it would be a good rec as well.

Lonely, reaching out. Sad is the feeling if you generalize it.

Alright, I'll still go with Virgin Black.

Listening to them right now, this is pretty close to what I was asking for, thanks.

No problem. I'm not familiar with their most recent releases, but I've heard they're also really good. Glad you like them.

Also, you might want to check out My Dying Bride if you haven't already.
