Well I'm from Portugal so of course I have to suggest Moonspell (one of my favorite bands)
Moonspell is a gothic band, that can variate a lot in their sound, they have heavy metal, doom and even folk metal songs (they also went to history as the first band to ever did a Valsa Metal Song).
I suggest everyone to hear them, they're really talented and good!
Another cool band from Portugal is Ramp it's a heavy/trash metal band!
Check them out.

I highly recommend checking out Sydonia from Australia. They are a unique act who has supported the likes of Slipknot and Lamb of God and were personally chosen by them (for a reason!)
