You know, I actually think the new Cynic is overrated. Focus was much much better. I mean the album has 2 fantastic awesome blow me away tracks and the rest was meh. Focus was from start to finish awesome...

That's just me though... I think many people are scared to say "I don't like the new Cynic" for fear they will be thrown comments such as "DO YOU EVEN LIKE METAL I CANT BELIEVE YOU DONT LIKE IT, ITS CYNIC OMG WHAT THE FUCK?".

Sorry haha.

Edit: (Ob)servant is the best Psycro album by far (IMO) and the new Testament should be added to that list. Fuck Testament are too good!.

2009 has been awesome so far with new releases from WITTR, Sarke, Cobalt, Blut aus Nord, Absu, Funeral Mist, Colosseum, Urna etc.

And don't forget that the Anaal Nathrakh-album is right around the corner.

Equilibrium have always been dull as plywood.
Arsis' guitar tone was hideous and the song-writing boring.
Origin have never really interested me and this album was praised so highly...
