My wife came home from dinner with her friends and said I had the heat up too high and I should put on a jumper.

So guess what jumper I put on?! My Mayhem hoody. Yeah, that will show her I won't be pushed around. Hail Euronymous!!

Then she turned down the heat.

Dammit.

Cheers in advance.

So why are ne obliviscaris, a band with 1 demo, headlining over belakor, a band with 2 albums and a much bigger fanbase?

This has been happening for years now and the reason is staring people pretty blankly in the face and yet nobody wants to do anything about it. My problem is, ne obliviscaris always get given a longer setlist by tim, because he is running the gig. Its happened multiple times before and its just gunna happen again as usual. Too many bands on the gig! every gig doesnt need to be a FESTIVAL!

At least we can all leave after belakor play though.

well, i guess NeO have had an international support before so there's possibility for an argument that they're still bigger...

...but even if not, and even if you reckon tim's doing a dodgy, what *can* you possibly do about it? set up your own promotions business? companies like apple do some pretty shameless shit in terms of maximising self-interest but that's not gonna stop people from buying ipods. there's going to be people at welkin's shows regardless of what you perceive tim's doing wrong. personally i reckon its more value for my 15 bucks having that many bands playing, if they're still getting their costs covered. and all the bands on the welkin roster have had some really good exposure due to tim's hard work.

i guess the business lesson is you're still gonna suck down on the dick that's fucking you in the ass when it's your only source of protein.

^ ahh good point re. set lists, i didn't think about that
it's probably easier for slammier bands (eg. ocularis) cause you can cover more material in a shorter set than a band like be'lakor who get kinda shafted by 30 min sets

Ocularis had an international support too. Aphotic Dawn have had two.
Oh and actually, MORE to the point, don't Alarum have a third album coming out? Haven't Alarum toured overseas? Didn't Alarum headline over Neo mere weeks ago?
I think that's weirder than Be'lakor being lower on the pecking order (no offence lads).
Anyway what do I care, I won't even be there :'(

An important point is that this festival has been organised to help Ben out with his visa costs - so it makes sense that Ben would be performing at the top of the list. We're more than happy with the line-up.

No offence taken at all Elliott, we don't tend to read too much into these things

Precisely. Makes perfect sense to me.

As for this gig being labelled as a festival... Y'know, not everything is srz bznz. Fun is allowed, kids. See: Cheek, tongue in.

I wrote some long justification of myself here, but I figure that everyone who knows me personally already knows that I am one of Be'lakor's top supporters and am doing everything I can to help get them as big as humanly possible. Plus, I know the Be'lakor guys think I'm doing a fantastic job and their opinion is really the only one that matters.

I'll keep working hard to support Be'lakor, and I'm sure my record over the past few years and into the years to come will be all the justification needed.

P.S. Elliott--- normally NeO would play below Alarum, but seeing this was for Ben they said it would be ok to play above them for this show.

LOL at that last comment.

I can't believe you compared Welkin to Apple though! Not sure if that really counts as sticking up for me...
