Underworld, London 18th Feb

Just got back from Camden: First impressions, my ears hurt, but I like it!
Didn’t see much of the first band, the second though were a Star Wars tribute band that played with 8 strings! They are called Anchorhead and were actually really cool, though at first I thought they were going to be really cheesy.

Biomechanical opened with Fallen in Fear and right away were really brutal. The sound wasn’t great in the Underworld but when it was good they sounded incredible, seeing as it’s still early days for this line-up they can be cut some slack for this though, once they’re more comfortable/ got the kinks ironed out I can see them being ridiculously good. They also looked physically tired after a lot of songs, though again with time they will get more fluid I’m sure.

All in all a good first proper show with the new line-up, solid playing throughout with loads to look forward to!

Pics!

Anchorhead:

Me with john:

Chris' rig of doom

Gus + his rig of doom

John's rig of doom + setlist (which I later nicked)
