Dig Bloodbath. Where next?

Hiya m'dogs,

Normally listen to Opeth, Katatonia (later stuff), Carcass, Cavalera, Etc. But I've been getting heavier tastes lately. Bloodbath on constantly \m/ >_< \m/

Need your sage advice here peeps, can you gimme 3 albums to try next?

I've been reading here a fair bit and I know there's lots of good chat about death bands but thought I'd ask anyway cos you seem like a superb bunch of mofos

Well I've been listening to Aeons Confer lately. There are some pretty decent tunes on their latest album. A little over-produced maybe but still sounds sweet.

I don't like music videos in general but there seems to be a shortage of music only youtube videos for them.

Did someone say alcohol?

I'm not sure what era Bloodbath you listened to J-Mac. Personally my favourite by them is Nightmare Made Flesh which was their second album and in my opinon the most consistently awesome. But their first album Resurrection through Carnage is pretty sweet too and has that old-school dirtier sound going on. The albums after that have higher production and a cleaner sound overall. If you're looking for that old school sound everything these guys suggested is good, it's more of a niche sound so it requires a bit of digging. If you just want some quality Death Metal there is a huge variety to choose from (the Death Metal bands thread has lots of good recommendations there)

The Fathomless Mastery is my favourite, closely followed by Nightmares.

So far I really like Edge of Sanity and some of Dan Swano's other stuff. Also Entrails and Entombed.

Aeons Confer is a bit to clinical for my tastes and Dead Congregation is a bit too kvlt but I keep going back to listen! Nuts.
