You know what's so strange? The only metal band that'll basically be touring Scandinavia for the next half year after August is Within Temptation. WTF? I'm going to try to see In Flames in November even though they suck, otherwise, they will be nothing but crap. Edmonton is getting better concerts than Stockholm, which is sooo wrong. Hope the spring will be better there.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd even count In Flames as metal anymore.It's been a long time since they put out anything that was decent.

Camping was good. Weather was just okay, but it only rained in the middle of the night, and the sun came out often enough to remind up what it felt like. LOTS of great beer.
I've never seen DevilDriver, it's too bad I missed them.

Opening up a brewpub. Sounds awesome! Just hope it wouldn't be in any shady areas of the city.
Me, I got back from Sweden not too long ago and will be continuing my grad studies on the west coast here. Already moved and am checking out what this side of the country has to offer.

We put in an offer on a location just off Whyte Ave, but probably not going to happen as the business association doesn't want any more bars in that area, so may not allow the zoning to go through.

Damn, that's too bad, but in a way, I agree that there are too many there already, anyway. I used to live on Whyte Ave and after a while, got really tired of constantly having to wade through drunks and/or bums. How about something on the other side of campus, like around Lister Centre/Windsor Park? Mind you, you'd attract a lot of underaged idiots à la Dukes.

We're also considering downtown. There is a location near where the new arena is going up, close to Grant MacEwan that could be good, but would need a lot of start-up work, and the lease rate would have to be negotiated from what they are asking.

@Naf: Nice, sounds promising. I've never been a fan of downtown but seeing that they are upgrading that area, it would make a great spot.

Well, it's just a very interesting language. it's very different from English, and it's a very diffuclt but worth-it challenge to learn it

I remember back in my day when you had to check this thread multiple times per day, or else you'd miss entire pages of conversation.
Of course, back then, I had to walk ten miles to school, up hill both ways, through ten feet of snow...
