I have to side with Bob on this one.
I mean, it's cool if people are going to elaborate on or share something unique about what they listen to. What though am I really informing you if I were to tell you that I am currently listening to (INSERT BAND HERE), and that was it? This isn't a direct jab to La Roque, just to the overall concept of "Now Playing" threads. A better thread might be, "Share some info on an album that some of you might not be familiar with" Just a thought.

What is Last.fm?
Is it a program that keeps track of what you play? Do you play the tracks THROUGH the program/site, or does it pick up on what you physically have on your player? Still, cool to see what someone is playing, though it doesn't really tell the viewer anything about the band (Which I feel would be more constructive).
